Print size guide

A minimum of 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in) works for most smartphones at arm's length. For posters and banners, scale up proportionally — SVG files stay perfectly sharp at any size, so download SVG when printing anything larger than a business card.

Do the QR codes expire?+
No. Generation happens entirely in your browser. Static QR codes work forever and don't depend on our servers or any redirect service.
Will my data be uploaded anywhere?+
No. Everything stays local in your browser. We don't store URLs, text, WiFi passwords, contact info, or uploaded logos.
What is a vCard QR code?+
A vCard QR code encodes contact information — name, phone, email, website. When scanned, the device prompts the user to save it as a contact. It's ideal for business cards, conference badges, and any situation where you'd normally hand someone a card.
How do I create a QR code for my restaurant menu?+
Pick the URL tab, paste in your menu URL (PDF, Google Drive, or hosted menu page), customize colors to match your brand, and download as SVG. Place it on table cards, receipts, or a sign by the door. When the menu changes, update the URL — the printed QR code stays the same.
How do I create a WiFi QR code?+
Select the WiFi tab. Enter your SSID, password, and encryption type (WPA2 is standard for most routers). If your network doesn't broadcast its name, set "Hidden network" to Yes. The QR code is generated instantly — guests scan to join without typing a password.
Can I use a QR code on a business card?+
Absolutely. Use the vCard tab to include your contact details so scanning saves them directly to the phone. Or use the URL tab to point to your portfolio or LinkedIn. Download as SVG and drop it into your card design. Keep the code at least 2 × 2 cm for reliable scanning.
Can I print these QR codes?+
Yes. SVG is the best format for print — it scales to any size without quality loss. PNG works well for digital use and smaller print sizes.
Why use error correction with a logo?+
A logo covers part of the QR data. With H-level error correction (which QRWizard uses by default), the code can still be decoded with up to 30% obscured. Keep logos at roughly 20% of the QR area to stay well within that limit.
Can I change the color of a QR code without breaking it?+
Yes, with one rule: the dark modules must contrast clearly against the background. Low-contrast combos (yellow on white, light grey on white) will fail to scan. QRWizard uses H-level error correction for extra resilience.

Privacy & what we collect

Your QR content never leaves your browser. URLs, text, WiFi passwords, contact details, and uploaded logos are all processed locally on your device. We never receive, store, or transmit them.

To understand how the tool is used, we collect anonymous, cookieless usage stats (hosted in the EU): a page visit, and categorical metadata when a QR is generated or downloaded — the type (URL, WiFi, vCard…), the output format, a rough size band, and whether customization was used. No personal data, no cookies, and never the content itself.

With your consent we also enable Google Analytics, which uses cookies. You can decline it — the tool works exactly the same either way.
